Iron Cactus North ExteriorIron Cactus North (Arboretum Area)
Our newest location in the Arboretum area offers the same delicious menu as our downtown location with a new look inside.  The restaurant is divided into dining area and the Agave room, where live music is featured Thursday, Friday, and Saturday.  It also offers outside dining and and is the perfect Northern location for dinner, drinks, and an evening of entertainment.  But don't take our word for it, come by and see for yourself.

The Iron Cactus blends integral Mexican attributes with a progressive technique of cooking to create unique and flavorful dishes. Named one of the top ten tequila bars in the country, we feature over 80 selections of tequila from Mexico and specialize in a variety of margaritas and tequila drinks unique to Austin.

Hill Country Favorites

Camarones Pescadora: Crab-stuffed Gulf shrimp on jalapeño-pineapple sauce, with poblano rice and roasted vegetables. 
Pollo Relleno: Chicken breast stuffed with poblano chile cornbread, sautéed in a jalapeno cream sauce, on a bed of Southwestern rice.  Served with roasted vegetables. 
Mojo Cubano Pork Tenderloin:  Pan roasted with citrus Mojo sauce and sides of Navajo mashed potatoes and roasted vegetables.  
Jalapeño Chicken Fried Ribeye:  Lightly dusted and battered center cut ribeye, with jalapeno cream gravy, on Navajo mashed potatoes with roasted vegetables.
Navajo Pot Roast:  Slow simmered pot roast in a cascabel vegetable gravy.  Served with Navajo mashed potatoes. 

South of the Border

Trinity Trio: Beef, chicken, and mushroom enchiladas rolled in corn tortillas.  Topped with tomatillo and Colorado sauces. 
Alamo Enchiladas: Shredded beef rolled in corn tortillas, topped with cheese and Colorado sauce. 
Shiner Chile Relleno:  Shiner Beer battered poblano pepper, stuffed with chicken and cheese.  Served on a bed of tomatillo and Colorado sauces.
Wild Mushroom Enchiladas:  Fresh corn tortillas rolled with wild mushrooms.  Topped with Chihuahua cheese and tomatillo-sour cream lime sauce.

From Mopac (Loop 1):  The easiest way is to go just north of US 183 and take the Capital of Texas Highway exit.  Turn left onto Capital of Texas Hwy (looks like a street at this point) and a right again at Stonelake Blvd.  and we'll be the first entrance on yoru right. 

From IH-35:  Take US 183 Northbound past Loop 1 and exit Capital of Texas Hwy.  Turn right onto Capital of Texas Hwy and left at Stonelake Blvd.  We'll be the first entrance on your right.
