Malaga Tapas & Bar is proud to
announce the opening of its new home in
the 2nd Street District at 440 WEST 2ND
STREET between Guadalupe Street and San
Antonio Street. Malaga has outgrown its
current location at 208 West 4th Street
and will open at the new location on
August 25th, 2008. The new location is
twice the current size and will feature
not only Dinner, but Lunch and Brunch
have now been added. Sidewalk patio
seating is available as well as
convenient valet parking.
Executive Chef and Managing Partner,
Alejandro Duran, has created an eclectic
Lunch menu featuring soups, authentic
Spanish flatbreads and sandwiches,
salads and tapas to be served Monday
through Friday from 11am to 2pm. Chef
Duran is also embarking on a traditional
Spanish Brunch on Saturday and Sunday
from 11am to 3pm. Experience an
ever-changing Dinner menu of tapas,
drawn from the cuisines of the
Mediterranean or enjoy a glass of wine
amidst the warm glow of Spanish
lanterns, all week starting at 5pm. A
fantastic Happy Hour is available Monday
through Saturday from 5pm to 7pm,
featuring wine and tapas pairings as
well as beer and specialty drink
specials. In addition to Cooking Classes
held monthly with Chef Duran, Malaga
offers Catering and Event planning on or
off site.
For
nine years, Malaga Tapas & Bar has
offered authentic Spanish cuisine in the
heart of Austin and earned legions of
fans. Malaga offers a wide variety of
tapas that meld Texas tastes with the
rich flavors of the Iberian Peninsula,
and an appealingly priced selection of
fine wines with 50 by the glass and 200
by the bottle.
