About Taste Select Wines in downtown Austin
Taste Select Wines is a new breed of wine retail and eatery dedicated to hospitality and exceptional value in downtown Austin. Our urban-relaxed ambiance and casual wine tasting environment blend to deliver a different type of dining. You may start off by picking a favorite wine from our retail area to accompany your meal. If you don't have a favorite wine already, you may sample some from our hi tech wine preservation system that allows us to offer over 50 wines by the glass. When you find a new favorite, simply bring it to your table and we'll cork and decant it for you. And don't forget we offer outdoor seating across from Austin’s Lady Bird Lake and a late night menu that serves until midnight!

About the Menu at Taste Austin
Taste serves up an eclectic menu with a regional focus. The menu is updated nightly by Executive Chef Bill McGrory and features small plates served tapa-style, salads, and paninis. We also offer large plates such as as Roasted Quail, Roasted Sea Bream, and Colorado Lamb Chops as well as a 3 and 5 course dinners that our chef suggests for the perfect combination of flavors.

Pan Seared Kona Kampachi with peach vinaigrette $6/$10

Taste Select Wines Austin Directions: Taste is located in downtown Austin on Cesar Chavez Street, which is also called 1st Street. Valet parking is available by turning left on Lavaca and pulling into the valet parking in front of iiiForks. You can also park in the City Hall garage parking and we will validate for 2 hours.

From Mopac (loop 1): Heads towards downtown and take the 1st Street exit. Continue past Lamar and we'll be on your left just before the Radisson hotel.

From IH 35: Head towards downtown and exit Cesar Chavez and head West towards downtown. Cesar Chavez is currently under construction to become 2 way, but at present it will force you to turn right at Brazos, then go left on 2nd, left again on Guadalupe, and left again on Cesar Chavez. At that point you'll be headed in the right direction to use the Valet mentioned above.
