Wolfdancer Golf Club # 8 Austin Golf Course
About Gallery Map Featured
The Wolfdancer Golf Club makes the most of the area's diverse natural beauty, covering rolling prairie land, a heavily wooded ridgeline and a shaded valley bordered by the Colorado River. Created by legendary designers Arthur Hills/Steve Forrest and Associates, the 7,149-yard, par-72 Wolfdancer layout combines strategy and swagger to challenge the most avid golfer. The course name pays tribute to the Tonkawa Indians who once roamed the same lands. Choose from five sets of tees, which offer something for every level of player. A forecaddie can be compared to a personal concierge on the golf course – you won’t lose as many golf balls and your clubs will be cleaned as you go. The forecaddie’s main purpose is to provide the player with information on the course’s layout – where to aim the ball on the fairway and green in order to play a better game. Wolfdancer’s forecaddies are trained to make players feel as comfortable as possible and to enhance the golf experience. Play your 19th hole at the clubhouse restaurant, Major Neighbors Grill, serving signature dishes and invigorating libations.

The Wolfdancer site is beautiful, the perfect palette for a world-class golf course. The first nine holes plus holes #10, #11 and #12 are on the high, gently rolling, and partly forested portion of the site. Holes #13 through #18 are in a lower part of the site, cut through an area of large, stately pecan trees. Holes #17 and #18 play alongside the Colorado River on a bluff 35’ above the river. These lower holes can be seen from the clubhouse and the Lost Pine Resort and Spa.
