Austin City Guide Statistical
Information The following statistics are 2007 monthly averages. Definitions for these terms are listed below the table of statistics and hyperlinks to these definitions are available next to the term.
Average Featured Listing Views: This measures the average number of page views per client for featured content. Our goal and promise to our clients is to never charge more than 25 cents per qualified page view. With entry price range of $100 per month, clients should receive at least 400 views per month. Golf and Things to do categories tend to be seasonal. Average Other Listing Views: This measures the average number of page views per clients that our not featured. It shows the effectiveness or our website model when results are compared to the featured clients results. It also offers an approximation of search engine traffic directly as traffic from the internet tends to be equal for featured and non featured content. Subtracting this number from the corresponding featured client average traffic can give an approximation of how much traffic comes from our hotel kiosks. So for example, in January 2006 our featured bars received 854 page views per month. Subtract 195 non-featured results from that number to give a difference of 659 page views. This is an approximation of how much traffic comes from kiosks in hotels. Category Searches: This measures how many times people selected a particular category and how many times they refined that search by selecting a subcategory. Growing our category searches results increases the ability to drive a profitable number of visitors to our clients. Search Engine Traffic: This measures how many people find us by searching for content using Google, MSN, Yahoo, and other search engines. Google represents about 80% of this traffic. This measures growth in our guide in terms of content (adding new restaurants increases this statistic) as well as measuring our rise in search engine results (how our pages rank in Google). It is responsible for a large portion of both featured client traffic and non-featured content results. |
