Bat-Watching
Tours
Paddle a kayak to see and learn about one of the World's Largest
Urban Bat Colonies in Austin Texas! We will meet at Joe's Crab
Shack on Lady Bird Lake and then kayak up the lake to see the
bats at the Congress Avenue Bridge. We are the only company in
Austin that does this in kayaks! Each group receives a free
appetizer card from Joe's Crab Shack. Their tours are
currently available on Sunday, Tuesday, Thursday, and Friday at
6pm.
Time: 1.5 to 2 hours
Cost: $35 per person
Note: These tours can fill up quick and we recommend
Booking a Bat Tour Reservation early (all other tours are
booked by phone). When doing so, please let
us know your groups ages, approx. heights and weights, and if
you are interested in a tandem kayak BY ADDING NOTES in the
notes section while booking. We should mention that the
minimum age on bat-watching tours is 5 years of age and maximum
weight is 275 lbs. Space in tandem boats is not guaranteed - as
space is limited.
Cancellation policy: Tours may be canceled free of
charge two days before scheduled trip. Tours canceled the
day before the scheduled trip will be charged 50% of total
reservation cost. Tours canceled the day of the trip
will be charged 100% of their total reservation cost. *We
reserve the right to refuse service to anyone.
Austin
Area River Trips
Paddle a kayak down one of several beautiful Central Texas
Rivers near Austin Texas. We will choose the river that is
flowing the best and will be the most fun for that day. A snack and drinks
are provided. These tours require at least 24 hours
notice and are booked by phone.
Time: 3 to 5 hours
Cost: $85 per person
Overnight Trips
Take a two-day kayaking and camping trip! You
will paddle two
different sections of the San Marcos River and spend the night
camping under the stars on its bank. A tent, lunch, steak
dinner, breakfast, and
drinking water are provided. These tours require at
least 24 hours notice and are booked by phone.
Time: 2 days
Cost: $200 per person
About Your Guides
Casey is a Native Texan. After graduating from Texas Tech
University, a one-time whitewater rafting trip turned into a
career of twelve years of professional whitewater rafting.
Beverley was born in South Africa, lived for a few years in
Canada, then moved to Texas. Being a graduate of Southwest Texas
State University. Beverley has been kayaking the the San Marcos
River for years. Buddy was born Christmas Day, 1998. Since then
he has been an imperfect, but very sweet dog. Buddy is at home
in the water, having accompanied Casey on many rafting and
kayaking trips across the country.
All of our Austin Kayaking trips are guided to take the stress out of your adventure!
Kayaks, paddles, PFDs, and drinking water are provided on every
