This boutique hotel offers 40 rooms and suites that are minimalistic in style and luxe in detail. The Standard rooms and Petite Suites are located in the original 1936 tourist court wing of Hotel San Jose. The Petite Suite features a queen bed, sitting area with daybed, and a small private porch.  The Grand Standard and Double Queen rooms are situated in the courtyard area and are slightly larger than The Standard rooms with access to a shared patio area.  Along the back garden of the hotel are the Grand Suites with king sized beds.  Above the lobby of the hotel is The Sweet.  These are three rooms (that must be booked together) with a shared hallway bathroom and a private terrace with a view of the hotel property.  There are also Courtyard Suites that have a view of the pool and a private porch.  However, if you’ve always wanted to create the mega-suite experience, the two adjoining Courtyard King Suites are your opportunity to make that dream a reality!  Both come with king sized beds, seating areas, and access to an upstairs patio that offers beautiful views of the hotel grounds and pool.

Amazing Amenities

And if you think the rooms at Hotel San Jose are calling your name, wait until you hear about the perks of staying at Hotel San Jose.  Each room is stocked with Malin + Goetz bath products (Hello, Sephora vibes!) and a mini-bar that will impress and satisfy your snacking needs.  If you’re looking for more than just a quick snack from the mini-bar, room service is available daily from 7:00 am until 11:00 am.  The hotel Lounge is open in the afternoons and evenings in case you sleep in past room service availability.  There you'll find a weekday happy hour Monday through Wednesday from noon until 5:00 pm.  You’re also a very short walk away from Jo’s Hot Coffee Good Food, a modern landmark of Austin that you’ve no doubt seen in Instagram posts featuring the iconic “I Love You So Much” mural.  One of the most unique perks of being a guest of the Hotel San Jose is access to their Typewriter and Polaroid camera lending collection!  Can you imagine typing on a typewriter next to the pool with an iced coffee from Jo’s after using Polaroid cameras to capture the inspiration found around the city?  Speaking of lounging next to the pool, definitely consider wearing one of their signature kimono style robes found in each room.  If you just can’t get enough of the robes or need a reminder of your stay in Austin, the robes and curated products are available for sale.  Honestly, who wouldn’t want to take a piece of this hotels magic home with them?

Can’t spend a full weekend here or just want to pop in for a small taste of the magic Hotel San Jose has to offer?  That’s ok!  Hotel San Jose has weekly events that take you to the heart of what Austin is all about: Live entertainment.  Looking for something that takes you back?  Every other Wednesday from 7:30 to 10:30, Hotel San Jose hosts “Way Back When’s-Day”, a one of a kind event in Austin.  Part of an ongoing partnership with Breakaway Records, patrons can enjoy soul, funk, and international grooves played on 45s while enjoying drinks, snacks, and the overall ambiance created in the Lounge of the hotel.
