Lady Bird Lake runs through the edge of downtown Austin and features the most active hike and bike trails in town. It also serves as home to the Congress Bridge Bats and several companies offer tours to view the bats by boat and kayak. You can learn more about bat watching tours here. When the bats leave town, the tour companies change their offerings to feature sightseeing tours. These offer a similar experience but without the bats. They’re still widely popular, affordable, and one of the best tour experiences in Austin.
The nature of Austin’s weather is such that you can get some really great temperatures during the winter month. Below we highlight 3 different companies featuring Lady Bird Lake tours in the winter months.
