Easy Tiger on South Lamar is a perfect spot for the whole family. Your little ones will enjoy expending some energy at the Little Tiger Den play area while you kick back with a beer or 2. There’s lots of green space for the kiddos to roam around as well as ping pong tables, cornhole, and giant Jenga. Easy Tiger has a full beer garden and some of the best bakery foods in town. You can’t go wrong with one of their giant pretzels or sourdough bread. They also have a small list of breakfast, lunch, and dinner entrees available throughout the day.
3901 Promontory Point Drive
If you’re a beer loving parent, grab the family and head over to Meanwhile Brewing. They have a huge outdoor space with a centralized playground area. They also are host to some of Austin’s favorite food trucks like Pueblos Viejos, Dough Boys Pizza, and Distant Relatives Barbeque. With a great selection of beers for the parents and kid friendly food, this will be your new favorite place to take the family for a fun and relaxing day out.

Jester King is about 30 minutes away from Austin, but trust us when we tell you that it’s worth the drive! This brewery sits on a 200 acre ranch complete with a goat farm and a playscape. There are even walking trails around the property, perfect for walking off all the delicious pizza and beer you’re going to enjoy when you visit.

Doc’s Backyard is everything you’d want for a fun family meal all in one spot! There’s a terraced patio with a large playscape and greenspace with a lot of outdoor seating. The menu features crowd pleasers like nachos, burgers, tacos, and even salads. There’s even a large selection of Texas craft beers on tap as well as a full bar.
Barbecue is a family favorite around Austin. Sure you could go anywhere, stand in line for hours, and have some “hangry” (hungry + angry) kids by the time the food is served. There’s nothing quite like Rudy’s Texas Bar-B-Q. The food is delicious and is a very generous portion for the price. The North Austin Rudy’s location has a playscape complete with rock walls and slides. If your crew craves BBQ all day, Rudy’s has great breakfast tacos.

When it’s time for great pizza without a long wait, head on over to Aviator Pizza. This spot has great pizza and quick service, which is a plus when your littles get wiggly while waiting. The playground area is huge and there are plenty of garden tables so the kids can run around. There’s also a decent list of craft beers for the parents to enjoy!

Home Slice Pizza is a crowd pleaser whether you’re feeding a toddler or your grandparents. Their New York style pizza and wings are beloved cuisine around Austin. Home Slice Pizza also has a full bar complete with craft cocktails, craft beer, and wine.

You’ll love the healthy food options while your kids will rave over the large, shaded playground. To make all this even better, kids eat free on Tuesdays from 5:00 pm to 8:00 pm. Since 2017, The Hive has been one a favorite South Austin spot for Austin parents. Here you’ll find a huge playscape area as well as a garden for your little ones to roam around.
