East Austin Hotel

Hotel Magdalena

Coming in first on our list is one of Austin’s newest boutique hotels brought to us by Bunkhouse.  This hotel’s pool sends you to “Austin in the 70s” with its Barton Springs shaped pool.  Each pool pass covers a choice of poolside libations: a bottle of wine, 6 pack or local beers, or 4 frozen cocktails!  Drinks and food served up by Hotel Magdelena’s in house restaurant, Summer House one Music Lane.


Hotel Otis
1901 San Antonio Street
$50 per person, 21+

Hotel Otis is a newer spot in Austin, but it promises to be one of West Campuses' can't miss spots for the summer. The views from The Otopia Rooftop are amazing and pair well with a poolside cocktail! Pool passes are available Friday and Saturday, 10:00 am to 7:00 pm.

Austin Motel

Austin Motel is a classic symbol of the South Congress district.  Not only are they known for their amazing accommodations and iconic style, the swimming pool at Austin Motel is a party all its own!

The pool is opened seasonally (April through October) and offers multiple times and prices for their 3 hour pool passes.  Not only do they offer that, but they also have night swimming events that you’ll want to set an alert for on your calendar!  Who wouldn’t want to go for a Monthly Full Moon Night Swim in one of the coolest spots in SoCo??


The Westin Austin

Want to find a pool downtown with quite possibly the BEST view?  Look no further than the 20th floor pool deck at The Westin Austin!  This 21+ pool pass is available 1:00 pm-9:00 pm Monday through Sunday & 11:00 am to 11:00 pm Friday and Saturday.  Dive into this experience by ordering up some snacks and drinks from The Westin Austin’s poolside bar, Azul.  Parking isn’t included with the pool pass, but with vibes this great you might just want to check in for the weekend!   

The Line Hotel

The Line Hotel has definitely become an iconic spot in downtown.  Nestled in the corner of Congress Street and Cesar Chavez, this hotel’s family-friendly pool is one of a kind and not to be missed this summer!  Hop into this gorgeous saltwater infinity pool and order up some snacks and drinks from Vera Cruz and let yourself sink into the beauty of Lakebird Lake.  Another perk of this pool is:  FREE self parking!

Fairmont Austin

Why swim at any other hotel in Austin when the Fairmont is available??  This luxury hotel is family friendly and has a little bit of something for everyone.  Before you hop into one of the two pools (one heated for perfect nearly year round swimming), a whirlpool, and plenty of lounge areas.  Take note of the touchless sunscreen booths as well!

There’s no limit to how you can spend a day poolside on the 7th floor of Fairmont Austin.  A basic pool pass has available upgrades, but if you’re really looking for a whole experience, splurge on one of their private cabanas (perfect for groups of 6 to 12 people).  No matter how you choose to spend your afternoon by Fairmont Austin’s pool, make sure you order some delicious poolside tapas from their restaurant Rules & Regs.

Hotel Ella

If you’ve ever wanted to spend an afternoon in a real piece of Texas history, reserve a pool pass at Hotel Ella, named after one of the first women to graduate from the University of Texas and who the original 1897 mansion was built for: Ella Wooten.  This historic site is also home to one of Austin’s best kept secrets: Hotel Ella’s pool!

 While you’re soaking up the vibes and Texas history, make sure to grab some poolside bites and drinks from Goodalls, Hotel Ella’s restaurant named after Ella’s husband.  Pool passes are available Monday through Thursday & Sunday from 10:00 am to 5:00 pm.


Carpenter Hotel

Carpenter Hotel is another fun boutique hotel from Bunkhouse…And just like all the rest of their properties, this hotel is its own micro-experience of Austin!  Opening in 2018 and located in South Austin, Carpenter Hotel’s pool makes you feel like you’re in simpler times.

While you’re enjoying your afternoon at one of the newest hip swim spots in the ATX, make sure to get some snacks and buckets of beer from Carpenter's Hall, the hotel’s restaurant .  Reservations for pool passes are available Monday through Thursday from 10:00 to 2:00 and 3:00 to 7:00.


Colton House Hotel
